Cookie Policy
Naturefilm Studios / Legal
Effective date: September 30, 2026 / Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains cookies, browser storage, and related technologies on the Shopify-hosted Naturefilm Studios website. The technologies present depend on the theme, platform settings, and any applications actually enabled.
01. What cookies and similar technologies do
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store. It can help a site remember information between requests, maintain a session, record a choice, or recognize technical activity. Some cookies expire when the browser session ends; others have a specified expiry time.
Similar technologies include browser local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, and device identifiers. They do not all operate in the same way, but privacy laws may regulate them based on their purpose and the information they access. Loading a resource from an external server also creates a network request, even if that resource does not set a cookie.
02. The custom website sections
The Naturefilm Studios custom sections provide navigation, visual animations, service information, a review carousel, and a local project form. The supplied custom code does not set its own cookies, does not write project fields to local storage or session storage, and does not install an advertising pixel or analytics tracker.
The form uses the values in the open browser page to check that required fields are complete and then displays a local confirmation. It does not submit the values to the studio or create a server-side request record. A browser’s own autofill or recovery feature is controlled by the browser and is separate from cookie storage installed by these sections.
The custom code temporarily keeps interface state, such as the selected review and service, in JavaScript memory. That state is not a persistent cookie and normally disappears when the page is reloaded or closed.
03. Shopify and essential site operation
Shopify hosts the storefront and may use platform cookies or other technical mechanisms for website delivery, security, session management, and privacy preference handling. The exact cookies depend on the store configuration, region, and enabled platform features.
Essential technologies support functions requested by the visitor or the secure operation of the site. Where applicable law permits their use without consent, they may operate without a separate optional-tracking choice. The label essential does not make unrelated advertising activity necessary.
These custom sections do not include a shopping cart or online payment flow. Installing commerce features later may introduce additional platform cookies and requires an updated review of the website’s actual behavior.
04. Functional preferences
A functional technology can remember a preference, such as a selected language or an accessibility setting. Whether a particular preference requires consent depends on its purpose and applicable law.
No persistent preference storage is added by the supplied custom sections. If the Shopify theme or an application stores additional preferences, that feature must be assessed and described according to its actual implementation, provider, and duration.
05. Analytics technologies
Analytics technologies can measure page visits, navigation patterns, or interaction with site content. Some operate with cookies, and some use other identifiers or technical information. Their operation may require consent or another specific compliance arrangement depending on the law and configuration.
The supplied custom sections do not install an analytics service. Shopify platform settings or subsequently installed apps may introduce analytics separately. Optional analytics should be configured through the applicable Shopify customer privacy settings or a compatible consent system before being enabled where consent is required.
06. Advertising and targeted marketing
Advertising technologies may link visits to interests, measure an advertising campaign, or help display personalized advertisements. They may involve information being shared with an advertising platform across different websites.
The custom Naturefilm Studios sections do not include advertising pixels, remarketing scripts, or social-media tracking embeds. If these are added later, the website operator must update this policy, identify the actual services and purposes, and provide legally required consent or opt-out choices before the activity begins.
An absence of advertising code in this package does not establish the behavior of every Shopify feature or app installed outside the package. Actual store settings must be checked rather than inferred from the visible design.
07. External fonts and script delivery
The website requests font files through Google Fonts and animation library files through the jsDelivr content delivery network. These requests support the typography, scroll animations, and optional WebGL landscape. They expose technical request information to the service delivering the resource, such as an IP address, requested file, and browser-related headers.
A network request for a font or script is not automatically the same as a tracking cookie. The service provider’s actual behavior, applicable notices, and your site configuration determine whether additional storage or processing occurs. Fonts and scripts can instead be self-hosted if the operator chooses to deploy local copies in accordance with their licenses.
If an external library cannot load, the site retains a static photographic background and readable section content. Visual effects do not require the visitor to accept an advertising cookie.
08. Consent and Shopify privacy controls
Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies or comparable tracking, those technologies must remain inactive until the appropriate permission is recorded. A notice alone does not authorize optional tracking.
Shopify provides customer privacy settings and consent-related features. The operator must configure those features for the regions served and the technologies actually installed. A third-party consent tool should be integrated with Shopify’s customer privacy system where needed so that the recorded choice is respected by supported platform features.
These custom sections do not add a separate cookie banner or pretend to control other apps. If optional tracking is enabled, the actual site must provide a working way to make and change the required choices. Closing a menu or completing the project form is not consent to advertising.
09. Changing browser settings
Most browsers provide controls to view stored cookies, remove existing data, block third-party cookies, or block broader categories of site storage. The names and locations of these controls vary by browser and device.
Blocking essential cookies or deleting saved preferences may affect site operation or cause a privacy choice to be requested again. Browser settings generally apply only to that browser and device. Private-browsing modes do not eliminate every network request or necessarily prevent all forms of server-side logging.
Where an applicable law requires the handling of a recognized browser-based opt-out signal, the website’s relevant platform and tracking configuration must support that requirement. This policy does not claim that an unconfigured app automatically honors every signal.
10. Duration and cookie inventory
Cookie lifetimes vary by provider and purpose. Session cookies normally expire when the session ends; persistent cookies remain until their configured expiry or until you remove them, subject to browser behavior.
The supplied custom code has no custom cookie names or persistent-storage expiry periods to list. A complete inventory for the live storefront must be based on an inspection of the actual Shopify theme, platform configuration, applications, and consent states. This policy deliberately does not invent cookie names or fixed lifetimes for services that have not been verified as active.
After a new application, embed, analytics service, or commerce feature is added, the operator should reassess its storage behavior and update the site notice and privacy controls accordingly.
11. Updates and questions
This policy may be updated as the website’s actual technologies change or legal requirements develop. The effective and last-updated dates appear at the top of the page.
